As a result of the fire in September 2010 Drinkstone did not have a village hall for nearly 3 years. The Village Hall Committee still managed to run the Sale Trail and the Village Fete with a lot of help and support from local residents.
2011 January Seniors post-Christmas lunch
We usually have a Seniors Christmas lunch in December, at the Village hall. With the hall being out of action, plans were made to have a lunch post-Christmas at the Cock Inn in Lavenham. So many people wanted to go, it took place over two days. See how it all turned out in our gallery .
2011 Drinkstone Fete and Dog Show
A hugely successful event, with a World War 2 theme, even more remarkable for the variety of events, the wonderful 40’s costumes and the early afternoon downpour, which did nothing to dispel people’s spirits. And it raised a fantastic £2,500 for the New Hall fund. The photos say it all!
