The Village Hall Committee still managed to run the Sale Trail and the Village Fete with a lot of help and support from local residents.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">2011 January Seniors post-Christmas lunch<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<div id=\"txt_391\">\n<p class=\"Small-para-headings-P\"><span class=\"Normal-C\" style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">We usually have a Seniors Christmas lunch in December, at the Village hall. With the hall being out of action, plans were made to have a lunch post-Christmas at the Cock Inn in Lavenham. So many people wanted to go, it took place over two days. See how it all turned out in our <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/onedrive.live.com\/redir?resid=37A559892E54BFF4!2571&amp;authkey=!AJsj06z5voIICus&amp;ithint=folder%2cJPG\" target=\"_blank\">gallery<\/a> .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Small-para-headings-P\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #008000;\">2011 Drinkstone Fete and Dog Show<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<div id=\"txt_391\">\n<p class=\"Small-para-headings-P\"><span class=\"Normal-C\" style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif;\">A hugely successful event, with a World War 2 theme, even more remarkable for the variety of events, the wonderful 40\u2019s costumes and the early afternoon downpour, which did nothing to dispel people\u2019s spirits. And it raised a fantastic \u00a32,500 for the New Hall fund.
